I'll keep posting this one periodically to make sure everyone sees is. The last autocross of the season is in two weeks, Sunday November 16th, and I think it needs to go out with a bang. I'm electing that we get as many people to sign up as possible and give it one last go until spring.
I've already signed up, but here's the link for everyone else. I'm driving Heat 3 and working Heat 1.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Also, November 15th is out Cars & Coffee. This month's will be held out west at Creative Composites, next to Mel Hambelton Ford. You guys are in for a real treat, the owner has roughly $40-50 Mil worth of cars in the building, or at least the last time I was there.
Any questions, feel free to chime in.

damn you guys have mad events per year.

We've got two different organizations putting on autocrosses at the same location. That's how Jayhawk Jake manages to autocross like 2-3 times a month.

Someone Auto-crossed a Silverado?

Someone tried to. They ended up not letting him.
Although, Murdersofa just autocrossed a little Ranger pickup. They've light Lightning pickups go before.

I have 5 regions within reasonable driving distance of me, so I'm never without an event to go to.

I'll try to scrounge together enough money... we'll see ;)

There's a caravan going to cars and coffee leaving from extremo vino at 8:30 I think. I'm planning on going with because why not?

Yeah, the video of the little Ranger was hilarious.

Sounds neat. I live literally a mile and a half from Creative Composites, so I'll probably just drive there.

Now I wish I had that.
I might see about going to events in KC or OKC next spring. Depends on what I'm driving then.

It's a full $35. Start raiding your piggy bank and couch cushions.

As long as it has a hardtop, it doesn't matter what you're driving. Go to a rallycross.

OH GOD D: TIME TO START DOING RANDOM CHORES!

We used to have them, but I don't think we do anymore. I used to do a lot of rally-type driving when I had my Subaru, and that's why I've been wanting to get back in one.
The nearest event now is about 3 hrs away.
If I can get the S2000 sold, I'd feel better about putting money down on this.

Wow I'd buy the shit out of that. Even if you didn't rallyX that car would be a monster. One of those took fastest time of the day at my last AutoX.

Yeah, once I sell the Honda, I'll talk to him more seriously. Otherwise, I'll have dumped pretty much all my car money into one Subaru. And some of the more expensive stuff is harder to sell.
For now, my other beater Saturn SL2 is still pretty bitchin'. Does great daily work. If it had a stick, I'd autocross the nuts off it.

Damn I really like that Subaru. If it was about to be summer, you'd easily be able to sell the '2k and get it. Oh well. SOON

Yeah, I've got so little in the car that I could sell it whenever and still be good money ahead.
I'm still more considering buying a C5 when it's really snowy and shitty out and then selling that in the spring. People love their vettes here in Kansas.

You come out to KC, and you can crash at my house. It's only 45 minutes from KCK.

I'm a lot closer to Creative than Vino, but I got nothing better to do.

mmm C5s are nice. It seems half of all C5s I see for sale are Z06s. Which is nice.

Those of us who are going should grab breakfast beforehand (assuming it wouldn't be too far out of the way). Every autox morning I desperately crave breakfast from either chick-fil-a or carriage crossing, of course neither is open.

I'm down for that idea. Wouldn't we have to do that at like 6:30 though to get to Yoder on time?
![]() 11/05/2014 at 19:03 |
|
Yeah... that's true. Where would we be able to eat at that time?

Denny's/Ihop are 24hrs. I think Jimmy's Egg on Central/Tyler opens at 6. or Village Inn on Central/Ridge.
Assuming we get there at 8:30. Factor an hour to get there. We'd want to be done by 7:30. So yeah, I'd say 6:30 to be safe.
I do quite like the idea of not being hungry while I'm there.

Any of those sound good to me, now to get the others on board
